United Cigars has announced the release of the Independence Firecracker, a limited-edition cigar created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The project continues United Cigars’ long-running collaboration with Arnold André, one of the longest-standing international partnerships in the premium cigar industry.
The Independence Firecracker builds on the Firecracker series’ signature presentation, measuring 3 1/2 x 50 and featuring the iconic fuse-shaped head that has defined the line for nearly two decades. The 2026 release also reflects multiple milestones, including Arnold André’s continued production in the Dominican Republic and the durability of a collaboration that spans continents and generations.
Blended specifically for the anniversary release, the cigar features ligero fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, secured with a Dominican binder and finished with a Mexican Habano wrapper. The result is a medium-plus bodied profile designed to deliver balance and intensity in a compact format. According to the company, the blend opens with floral and grain-like notes before transitioning into baking spices and a more piquant finish.
Packaging is central to the Independence Firecracker’s collectible appeal. The cigars will be presented in limited-edition tin boxes of 12, featuring patriotic design elements and inscriptions reading “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave.” The tins are designed to be inverted and reused as ashtrays once the cigars are enjoyed, reinforcing the release’s commemorative nature.
The Independence Firecracker will carry a suggested retail price of $9 per cigar and is scheduled to ship in June 2026. Quantities are described as extremely limited, consistent with previous Firecracker releases that have developed strong followings among consumers and driven seasonal demand at retail.
