HVC (Havana City Cigars) is commemorating a decade of one of its core lines with the release of the Pan Caliente 10th Anniversary Limited Edition 2026, a project that reflects both the brand’s history and a step forward in its blending approach.

Since its introduction, Pan Caliente has served as a defining line within the HVC portfolio, known for its fuller profile and consistent presence in humidors across the country. For its 10-year milestone, the company has chosen to revisit that foundation while introducing a new element that sets this release apart from previous iterations.

A New Direction in Blending

The most notable aspect of the anniversary cigar is the introduction of Peruvian tobacco into the blend—marking the first time HVC has incorporated leaf from Peru into one of its cigars.

While the brand has historically relied on familiar growing regions for its blends, this move signals a willingness to explore new origins in pursuit of added complexity and differentiation. For retailers, that distinction offers a clear talking point, particularly with consumers increasingly interested in less common tobacco sources and evolving flavor profiles.

Limited Production with a Familiar Foundation
The cigar is produced at Fábrica de Tabacos HVC, S.A., maintaining continuity with the brand’s existing production while introducing a new layer of experimentation.

It will be offered in a Gloriosos vitola (6 7/8 x 54) and packaged in 25-count boxes, with total production limited to 500 boxes.

This level of production places the release firmly within the small-batch category, positioning it as a limited opportunity for retailers looking to bring in anniversary-driven products with a built-in story.

Shipping Timeline
The Pan Caliente 10th Anniversary Limited Edition 2026 is expected to begin shipping in Summer 2026, positioning it as a mid-year release that arrives after the initial wave of PCA show launches and into a period where new product momentum typically stabilizes.

For retailers, that timing may provide an opportunity to re-engage customers with a fresh limited release during the summer selling season.
