J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has begun shipping the first 2026 release of the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser “Troublemaker,” a limited production size within its Diamond Crown Julius Caeser line.
The Troublemaker was originally developed after a cigar with an unusual shape was observed on a vintage poster displayed in the office of Rich Dolak, vice president of operations for J.C. Newman and Arturo Fuente. According to fourth-generation owner Drew Newman, the concept for the cigar began with a question about whether the shape depicted in the poster could be recreated.
The cigar’s development required a custom approach to production. A dowel was hand-shaped to match the form seen in the poster, which was then used to create molds for the cigar. The complexity of the shape contributed to the cigar’s nickname, “The Troublemaker,” referencing the challenges involved in producing it.
The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Troublemaker is made with an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a blend of filler tobaccos sourced from the Caribbean and Central America.
The cigar is part of the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser portfolio, which is positioned within J.C. Newman’s luxury cigar offerings.
