J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has announced an updated version of Diamond Crown MAXIMUS, featuring new packaging and a revised blend, scheduled to debut at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show (PCA26) in New Orleans.
The revised MAXIMUS blend is intended to deliver a bolder profile while maintaining the line’s established character. The new Diamond Crown MAXIMUS will retain its current pricing and 20-count box format, with shipments expected to begin in June 2026.
The company noted that the original Diamond Crown MAXIMUS was introduced in 2002 as a collaboration involving the Newman, Fuente, and Oliva families. The cigar uses an El Bajo Sungrown wrapper grown in Ecuador, paired with filler tobaccos sourced from the Caribbean Basin.
Previous MAXIMUS packaging featured a royal blue box design first introduced in 2002 and later modified a decade ago. The new presentation incorporates a handmade box with raised columns and decorative details on the lid and base.
J.C. Newman indicated that the updated Diamond Crown MAXIMUS will be officially unveiled during PCA26 (April 18–20, New Orleans). Shipments to retailers are expected to begin in June 2026.
The new MAXIMUS is one of four new products J.C. Newman plans to introduce during this year’s PCA trade show in New Orleans.
