Crowned Heads is bringing back Belgian Blue with a 2026 limited edition scheduled to begin shipping at the end of October. Worldwide production is capped at 2,500 boxes of 12 cigars, or 30,000 cigars, with a suggested retail price of $12.50 per cigar.

The 5¼ x 54 box-pressed cigar uses a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, an Ecuadorian Habano binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. According to the company, 75 percent of the blend consists of ligero tobaccos.

Crowned Heads says it selected ligero leaves with thicker, more textured bases to develop strength while maintaining combustion. Belgian Blue takes its name from the cattle breed known for its pronounced musculature.

“Belgian Blue was never about chasing strength for strength’s sake,” said Crowned Heads President Jon Huber. “The cigar was blended for flavor and intensity first, and the power was a by-product.”

The release follows Belgian Blue editions in 2024 and 2025. Huber cited continued demand for the cigar in announcing its return.

Belgian Blue LE 2026 is manufactured at the TacaNicsa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, under the supervision of Don Eradio Pichardo. The factory also produces Crowned Heads’ Juárez, Mil Días, Mil Días Maduro and Blood Medicine brands.
