Casa Carrillo is preparing to ship its 2026 TAA Exclusive, a limited-edition cigar created for retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America. Shipping is scheduled to begin during the week of Oct. 26.
The release uses tobaccos from five countries. An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper covers an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from the United States, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Casa Carrillo describes the blend as medium-plus in strength.
The cigar measures 5 1/2 x 58 and will be packaged in 10-count boxes. Production is limited to 1,000 boxes, or 10,000 cigars, with no additional quantities planned once the allocation is exhausted. Suggested retail pricing is $14 per cigar.
“With the 2026 TAA Exclusive, we wanted to bring together tobaccos from different origins to create a blend with depth, character, and balance,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, founder and master blender. “The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and Ecuadorian Sumatra binder provide a distinctive foundation, while the combination of fillers from four countries adds complexity.”
The annual TAA Exclusive Series gives participating manufacturers an opportunity to develop cigars available only through TAA-member retailers. For those stores, the Casa Carrillo release adds a one-time, multi-country blend to the 2026 exclusive portfolio.
