CAO has announced the return of Amazon Basin Daggers, a compact version of the company’s Amazon Basin blend that will be available for a limited time beginning in June 2026.
First introduced as a shorter-format extension of the Amazon Basin line, Daggers delivers the same blend found in the larger vitolas but in a 4 x 38 format designed for shorter smoking sessions. According to CAO, the release will begin shipping to retailers on June 1.
At the center of the blend is Brazilian Bragança tobacco, a leaf grown in the Amazon rainforest and harvested once every three years. The tobacco has become a defining component of the Amazon Basin series and is one of the factors that has contributed to the line’s popularity among consumers.
The blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder with fillers from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Brazil, including the Bragança tobacco. The cigars are handcrafted at STG Estelí in Nicaragua.
According to the company, Amazon Basin Daggers was developed to offer the same profile as the original Amazon Basin while reducing the overall smoking time through its smaller format.
The cigars will be packaged in five-count packs and distributed nationwide beginning in June. Suggested retail pricing is set at $24.99 per pack.
