Casa Carrillo cigars has shipped the latest addition to its Essence Series–the E.P. Carrillo Connecticut. This the fourth release within this new series of cigars that celebrates the diversity of premium tobacco by offering different blends that highlight the character of their origins. The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut made its debut this past April at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in New Orleans.

“The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut was born out of a desire to create a cigar that pairs creamy, mellow flavors with exceptional craftsmanship,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo in a press release. “This blend is perfect for both seasoned smokers seeking a refined, nuanced experience and those new to the world of premium cigars.”

The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut has an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Criollo 98 Honduran binder, and Honduran and Dominican Republic filler. According to the company, you can expect “a velvety draw with creamy notes of hay and light pepper. The medium-length finish is clean and crisp—ideal for pairing with a morning coffee or a refined evening drink.”

This is the second Essence cigar crafted outside of Casa Carrillo as it is produced at Honduras’s Agroindustrias DIADEMA factory. The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut is the fourth blend in the Essence Series, joining Sumatra, Maduro, and Honduras.

The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut will be available in three sizes: Corona, 5 1/2 x 44; Robusto, 5 x 50; and Toro, 6 x 52. The suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $9.25 to $10.50 before applicable taxes.
