Crowned Heads celebrates the 10th anniversary of Las Calavaeras with the upcoming release of the Las Calaveras EL 2024 and an additional release that will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the brand called Las Calaveras Décimo Aniversario. Both Las Calaveras EL 2024 and the Las Calaveras Décimo Aniversario are manufactured at My Father Cigars, S.A., in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The Las Calaveras brand was first introduced in 2014 as a tribute to those who have passed on in the previous year. This cigar is meant to celebrate life and remembrance instead of being a mournful symbol of death and loss. Each year, the band on the cigar features the initials of four individuals who have passed in the prior year, one set of initials embossed on each of the four coins on the sides of each band.

Las Calaveras EL 2024 features a blend of 100% Nicaragua tobaccos grown by the Garcia family. The cigar is wrapped in a Habano wrapper. A total of 1,500 boxes of each of the three vitolas was produced in addition to 3,000 4-cigar samplers that include one of each vitola: LC48, 6 x 48; LC52, 5 x 52; and LC54, 6 x 54. The sampler also includes an exclusive size, a 5 1/2 x 52 belicoso fino.

“When I smoked the final blend for this year’s Las Calaveras, it immediately took me back to the 2015 Las Calaveras profile, which happens to be one of my favorite blends in the series,” Jon Huber, Crowned Heads co-founder, shared in a press release.

In addition to the Las Calaveras EL 2024, Crowned Heads is also releasing the Las Calaveras Décimo Aniversario, a special limited edition premium cigar created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Las Calaveras.

“Las Calaveras has had such a far-reaching impact upon the cigar community over the last decade that we felt it only fitting to recognize this milestone of the brand. Décimo is an amazing blend, and we’re so grateful to the Garcia family and My Father Cigars for partnering with us on this tribute and also for what we’ve created together with the Las Calaveras brand,” added Huber.

Las Calaveras Décimo Aniversario is packaged in 10-count boxes and presented as a 6 x 52 Toro. The blend is made of an Ecuadorian (Habano Oscuro) wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and filler tobaccos grown on the Garcia family’s farms. A total of 2,500 boxes of this cigar were produced. Each Las Calaveras Décimo Aniversario cigar will have a suggested retail price of $18.95 before applicable taxes.
