Diesel and Rabbit Hole are teaming up for their fourth collaboration, the Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara. This cigar was developed by Justin Andrews, blended by AJ Fernandez, and handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara features a proprietary aging process and uses rare Japanese Mizunara oak barrels that were used to age Rabbit Hole’s 15-year-old Mizuna Founder’s Collection bourbon.
“With Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara, we have given the binder leaf a distinctive personality through its contact with the hand-shaped barrels to create a unique smoking experience. This cigar pairs beautifully with bourbon and creates an equally memorable smoking occasion on its own,” commented Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s Justin Andrews.
This is a limited-edition cigar with a proprietary Nicaraguan Habano binder that was chosen to be aged in the virgin Japanese Mizunara oak casks that aged Rabbit Hole Mizunara Founder’s Collection Bourbon and were released in 2021. Due to being aged in the barrels, hints of oak, black pepper, and other exotic nuances on the binder leaves. Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara’s blend includes Nicaraguan Habano in its filler and is topped with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. According to the company, this cigar has notes of earth, spice, cinnamon, and cream.
Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara will be presented in just one size, a 6 x 52 Toro with a suggested retail price of $15.99 per cigar before applicable taxes. The packaging for this cigar was designed to mirror the packaging of Rabbit Hole Mizunara Founder’s Collection.
This cigar comes in 10-count boxes and is available to ship to retail now.
