United Cigars has announced that the Independence Firecracker has begun shipping to retailers ahead of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The release is a collaboration between United Cigars and Arnold André and continues the long-running Firecracker series, which is known for its compact format and signature fuse cap. According to the company, the Independence Firecracker measures 3 1/2 x 50 and incorporates tobaccos from multiple growing regions.
The blend features ligero fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, a Dominican binder, and a Mexican Habano wrapper. United Cigars describes the cigar as medium-plus in strength with a profile built around the dual-country ligero blend.
For the 2026 release, the cigars are packaged in commemorative tins containing 12 cigars. The collectible packaging includes patriotic branding tied to the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration and is designed to be repurposed as an ashtray after the cigars have been enjoyed.
The Firecracker series has become known for its limited production and distinctive format, and United Cigars noted that quantities of the Independence Firecracker are limited.
The Independence Firecracker carries a suggested retail price of $9 per cigar and is currently shipping to retailers.
