J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has marked September with the release of several new cigars across its portfolio, including a new extension to the Angel Cuesta line, the annual Bricktoberfest edition, and final 2025 shipments of Yagua and Diamond Crown Black Diamond.

Angel Cuesta Shade Ships Nationwide
J.C. Newman has introduced the Angel Cuesta Shade, a new companion to its Angel Cuesta Rosado, first released in 2022. Hand rolled in the American Room at the company’s historic El Reloj factory in Tampa, the cigars feature a Nicaraguan Shade wrapper with a blend of binder and filler tobaccos from three continents. Each cigar includes a pigtail cap and is rolled in limited quantities by experienced pairs of rollers.

The Angel Cuesta Shade will be available in three formats: Doble Robusto (5 1/2 x 56, $20), Toro (6 1/4 x 52, $21), and Salamones (7 1/4 x 57, $23). All are presented in cabinets of 20. J.C. Newman reports that only 150 cigars are produced daily, contributing to the brand’s limited availability.

Brick House Bricktoberfest 2025 Edition
The annual Bricktoberfest cigar has also begun shipping to U.S. and German retailers. The 2025 edition is a 7 ¾ x 48 Churchill with a pigtail cap, rolled at J.C. Newman PENSA in Estelí, Nicaragua. Featuring an Ecuador-grown Havana Rosado wrapper with Nicaraguan fillers, the blend is designed to pair with Oktoberfest-style lagers.

Each box contains 10 cigars with a suggested retail price of $12 each. In addition, consumers purchasing seven Brick House cigars at participating retailers will receive a hand-painted Oktoberfest beer stein featuring Brick House branding.

Final 2025 Shipments of Yagua and Diamond Crown Black Diamond
J.C. Newman is also completing its final shipments of Yagua and Diamond Crown Black Diamond for 2025. A total of 1,720 boxes of Yagua and 520 boxes of Diamond Crown Black Diamond are being distributed to 412 premium cigar retailers across 46 states.

Yagua, inspired by a farm-rolled style from Cuba in the 1940s, is tied together in bundles of 20 using royal palm leaves and rolled with under-fermented Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers. Each cigar develops its own shape and is aged for a full year before release.

Diamond Crown Black Diamond, part of J.C. Newman’s luxury line, is produced at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic. It features a Connecticut Havana wrapper over well-aged Dominican binder and fillers, continuing a tradition of the Diamond Crown brand since its 2016 debut.
