General Cigar Co. has announced the return of Macanudo Gold Label for 2026, including the introduction of a new vitola called Gold Bullion.

Gold Label remains one of Macanudo’s annual limited releases and is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in May 2026. Macanudo Gold Label is built around a Connecticut Shade Capa Especial wrapper harvested from the first and second primings of the tobacco plant. According to the company, the blend also includes a Mexican binder sourced from the first and second primings, along with filler tobaccos from Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The new Gold Bullion is a 6 x 54 box-pressed vitola and represents the latest size addition to the annual Gold Label lineup. General Cigar stated that the new format was designed to offer a different expression of the blend while maintaining the line’s established profile.

The cigars are handcrafted at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

The 2026 Macanudo Gold Label collection includes the Hampton Court Tubo (5 1/2 x 42), Lord Nelson (7 x 49), Tudor (6 x 52), Duke of York (5 1/4 x 54), Shakespeare (6 1/2 x 45), Ascots (4 3/16 x 32), and the new Gold Bullion (6 x 54 box-pressed). Suggested retail pricing ranges from $12.69 to $13.79 per cigar, with Ascots carrying a suggested retail price of $26.89 per tin.

Macanudo Gold Label is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in May 2026.
