Casa Carrillo has introduced Deep Blue Limited Edition 2026, a new release from master blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. The cigar will be produced in a limited run of 2,500 individually numbered boxes and is scheduled to debut nationally in March 2026.
The cigar is produced at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic and built around a blend designed to evolve gradually as it is smoked. A Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper leads the blend, chosen for its refined sweetness and aromatic qualities. Beneath the wrapper, a Honduran binder provides structure and balance, while the filler is composed of Nicaraguan tobaccos intended to introduce deeper earth tones, spice, and body as the cigar progresses.
According to the company, the blend was designed to develop in stages, beginning with a lighter introduction of sweetness before gradually revealing earthier notes and a steady rise toward medium-plus strength. The name Deep Blue draws inspiration from the depth of the ocean and from Hades of Greek mythology, symbolizing the idea that strength and complexity often lie beneath the surface.
Deep Blue Limited Edition 2026 will be offered in a single vitola measuring 6 x 56. The cigars will be packaged in 20-count boxes, with each box individually numbered as part of the limited production run. The suggested retail price is $22 per cigar.
The cigar will make its first public appearance at The Great Smoke 20th Anniversary event hosted by Smoke Inn in West Palm Beach on March 14, 2026. A broader release is scheduled to follow in May 2026, with availability through select Casa Carrillo retail partners nationwide.
Casa Carrillo continues to build its portfolio around the blending legacy of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, whose cigars have received widespread recognition for their complexity, balance, and craftsmanship.
