At this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show, Cavalier Genève Cigars will debut its new cigar line, Project Broadleaf. The company will also showcase its Limited Edition 2025 (LE2025) cigar and take pre-orders.
Project Broadleaf came as the company encountered difficulties sourcing Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. This new core line will be released in four unique releases annually, each featuring a different size and blend variation centered around the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The first release in this new line will be the Skywalker, available in 50-count cabinet boxes. Only 100 boxes will be produced each year. Seventy-five boxes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the PCA25 trade show in New Orleans, April 11-14, 2025.
Project Broadleaf Skywalker, presented as a 6 x 48 Parejo, will have a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that has undergone fermentation for 3-3 1/2 years and an additional year of resting in bales between fermentation stages. This cigar will have a San Andrés binder and Jalapa, Estelí, and Jamastrán fillers. It will ship to retailers immediately following this year’s trade show. The suggested retail price per cigar will be $15.60 before applicable taxes.
Cavalier Genève’s second release is the Project Broadleaf Boartamer, presented in 10-count metallic foil bundles. Available as a 5 1/4 x 52 cigar, the Boartamer has a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a Habano Jalapa binder, and Jalapa, Estelí, Ometepe, and Jamastrán fillers. Five hundred bundles will be made available globally, with pre-orders taking place at the PCA25 trade show. Shipping is expected to begin between early and mid-June 2025. The suggested retail price per cigar is $14.60 before applicable taxes.
“These cigars are some of the most intense and rich releases we’ve introduced so far, offering a bold new experience for our customers. This is an exciting step for us, and we can’t wait to share it with the public,” commented Sébastien Decoppet, founder of Cavalier Genève Cigars.
In addition to Project Broadleaf, Cavalier Genève will unveil a pre-release version of the LE2025 at PCA. Available as a 6 1/4 x 50 Parejo, this will be a closed-foot cigar with a pigtail cap. The details of the blend remain undisclosed. This release will also not be re-released once it’s out. Only 1,948 boxes of 10 cigars have been produced; 1,000 will ship to U.S. retailers, and around 900 boxes will be allocated to international markets. The LE2025 has a suggested retail price of $16.70 per cigar before applicable taxes.
All Cavalier Genève Cigars are handcrafted at the company’s factory, Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. (FCT).
