Rocky Patel Premium Cigars is preparing to introduce a new addition to its portfolio this spring with the debut of Rocky Patel Sapphire, a cigar expected to make its first public appearance at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association (PCA26) Trade Show in New Orleans.
The release continues Rocky Patel’s recent series of cigars inspired by precious metals and gemstones, following the introduction of blends such as Gold Label and Emerald. Sapphire represents the next step in that evolving collection and is positioned as a richer expression built around older tobaccos and a layered Nicaraguan profile.
For retailers attending PCA 2026, the Sapphire launch will be one of the notable product debuts on the trade show floor. As with many Rocky Patel releases, the cigar combines tobaccos grown on the company’s own farms with carefully selected wrapper leaf sourced elsewhere.
The blend features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, paired with two binders—one from Estelí, Nicaragua and another from the Jamastran Valley of Honduras. The filler consists of Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa regions, with the majority of the leaf grown on farms owned by Rocky Patel.
The cigar is produced at Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) in Estelí, the company’s Nicaraguan factory. The filler tobaccos used in the blend are reportedly aged six to seven years, contributing to the cigar’s medium-to-full-bodied profile.
Sapphire will be offered in four vitolas packaged in 20-count boxes. The line includes a Corona Gorda measuring 6 x 46 with an MSRP of $13.50, a Robusto measuring 5 1/2 x 50 priced at $15.95, a Toro measuring 6 1/2 x 52 priced at $16.95, and a 6 x 60 format priced at $17.95.
The packaging itself reflects the gem-inspired theme, with the cigars presented in boxes designed to resemble a cut gemstone.
Rocky Patel Premium Cigars plans to begin shipping Sapphire to retailers shortly after the PCA trade show, positioning the release as one of the early post-PCA product launches of the year.
