La Aurora will again exhibit at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association trade show (PCA24) in Las Vegas on March 22-25, 2024. The company will feature several new releases at La Aurora’s booth (#17048), including the Puro Vintage. In addition to new cigars, La Aurora will also showcase E. León Jimenes Rum in the new Spirits Pavilion on the trade show floor. La Aurora will host a pairing seminar on March 22 as part of this showcase.
“It’s always a joy to attend PCA to share all that is La Aurora. It’s fitting that this year’s theme is ‘Legacy of the Leaf,’ because La Aurora is built on legacy,” shares Guillermo León, president and CEO. “La Aurora is not just a brand; it’s my family’s legacy that has been passed down for over five generations. Which is why it’s important that my family is present at PCA to show our commitment to the industry, as well as celebrate all the other family legacies that make this industry so special.”
One of La Aurora’s new releases for this year’s trade show will be the Puro Vintage 2014. This cigar was handcrafted in the Dominican Republic and used tobacco that’s been well-aged and dates back to 2014. The Puro Vintage 2014 will be presented in a Salomon format measuring 6 1/2 x 50/60 with a total of 1,000 boxes released globally. Each box will contain eight cigars, each having a suggested retail price of $26.50 before applicable taxes.
“The Salomon format gives this cigar a very special smoke,” says Manuel Inoa, La Aurora’s master blender. “Its shape, the doble figurado, makes it evolve differently as it opens and closes the ring during the burning, accumulating strength at the end. A real festival of taste from around the world.”
For the Vintage Puro 2014, Inoa chose tobaccos from crops grown around the world, including countries like Ecuador, Brazil, Nicaragua, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. The cigar’s blend is comprised of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua and is held together by a Brazilian binder, and is wrapped in an oily Ecuador Havana leaf. According to La Aurora, the Vintage Puro 2014 is a complex cigar that “exudes dark woody notes, leather, walnuts, and rich nuances of wild honeys, all complemented by the elegance of the bitter taste from dark cocoa and hints of dried tropical fruits.”
The Vintage Puro 2014 will begin shipping to retailers in mid-April.
