Cohiba and Weller Bourbon have teamed up once again for a new release, its collaborative cigar. The fourth cigar in the line, the Weller by Cohiba 2024, is a medium-to-full-bodied premium smoke with balanced notes of bourbon, honey, and cedar. This cigar is handcrafted in the Dominican Republic.
“Weller by Cohiba has become a staple in the Cohiba lineup and a great example of how the craftsmanship behind cigars and bourbon mirror one another,” said Sean Williams, Cohiba brand ambassador. “Going on this journey with a partner as esteemed as Weller Bourbon is a proud moment for Cohiba.”
The Weller by Cohiba 2024 is the first in this line to feature tobacco aged in full-proof barrels. Previous releases featured tobacco aged in the same barrels as the Weller 12-Year Bourbon and packaged in boxes that mimic the bourbon’s black and gold packaging.
This year’s collaboration features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a barrel-aged U.S. Broadleaf binder, and filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The cigars come in 10-count boxes with blue and gold tubes styled to mimic the Weller Full Proof packaging. Weller Full Proof Bourbon is considered a collector’s item. The 114-proof bottle ditches the traditional chill filtration process to preserve the bourbon’s natural notes of vanilla, dark cherries, and caramel.
The Weller Bourbon Collection is an award-winning member of the Sazerac spirits family.
