A new limited-edition cigar is being added to the Macanudo Emissary España line. This limited-edition cigar, a box-pressed torpedo measuring 6 x 52, features rare tobaccos grown 5-10 years ago.
“For the Emissary lineup, we really wanted to pull out all of the stops and craft a cigar that epitomizes European sophistication. We are really happy with the result, and based on the popularity of the cigar, we wanted to come out with another great offering. We landed on a box-pressed torpedo, which brings out the best blend for a smooth smoking experience that highlights the rare tobaccos within,” shares Steve Abbot, director of marketing at General Cigar Co.
The Macanudo Emissary España features a five-country blend that includes a U.S.-grown Connecticut Broadleaf Claro wrapper that has been aged for five years, a Nicaraguan Condega binder that has been aged for six years, and a mix of f Dominican Piloto (aged five years), Colombian (aged five years), Nicaraguan ASP (aged six years), and Spanish tobacco (aged ten years) filler.
In addition to the new limited-edition 6 x 52 torpedo, the Emissary España line is comprised of a Robusto (5 x 54), Toro (6 x 52), Perfecto (6 x 54), and Churchill (7 x 48) vitola. Only 1,500 boxes of the box-pressed torpedo will be released. Each limited-edition Macanudo Emissary España Torpedo will have a suggested retail price of $17.99.
