Cavalier Genève has announced details for The Green Jacket 2025, a premium cigar previously released as an exclusive to The Vault in Idaho. The 2025 iteration of The Green Jacket will be available at select retailers and through international distribution.
The cigar’s name references the Masters golf tournament, which takes place each year in Augusta, Georgia. The 2025 release of The Green Jacket will feature a Jamastran Claro wrapper, Habano Honduras binder, and filler from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Paraguay. Pre-orders for this cigar closed on October 31 and were offered to Cavalier partners.
In a press release, Cavalier Genève founder Sebastien Decoppet commented: “The decision was made to offer this exclusive release to our esteemed retail partners as well as part of our international distribution after the global interest generated with the original release for The Vault in Idaho. The cigar resonated with a considerable part of our partners and generated general interest globally. After discussions with The Vault in Idaho following the inquiries that we were getting, we agreed to make this a yearly limited production available to select retailers and international distributors of Cavalier through a pre-order system exclusively”.
He continued, “It is important to note that we will not be taking any new orders after October 31 of 2024 for the 2025 release, and this product will not be available to any retailer or international distributor that will not have communicated their orders by that date. This decision is to ensure that all products will be rolled with enough time to rest properly in anticipation of the release next year.”
The Green Jacket will be presented as a 7 x 47 Churchill cigar packaged in 11-count boxes. Ten cigars will be presented as the 2025 blend, and the 11th cigar will be the future 2026 blend. These cigars will have an exclusive green inner circle band, except the eleventh cigar, which will have a plain factory band to help distinguish it from other releases.
The Green Jacket is expected to be released at the end of March 2025. Each box will have a suggested retail price of $198 before applicable taxes. All Cavalier Genève cigars are produced at Fabrica Centroamericana de Tobaco S.A. in Danlí, Honduras.
