Casa Turrent, a leading premium cigar brand in Mexico, has appointed Ricardo Carioni has its new head of business development. Carioni will bring his experience to this position, supporting Casa Turrent’s global growth strategy while also driving its expansion across new markets and verticals. Carioni will work closely with Casa Turrent CEO Alejandro Turrent to expand the brand’s reach, diversify its product offerings, build partnerships and reinforce the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and education.

Before joining Casa Turrent, Carioni served as chief operating officer at Tor Imports, based in Great Britain; CEO of Gesinta in Spain; and is currently the founder of The Cigar Academy. In addition to these roles, Cariorni has served as Nicaragua’s deputy ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland,was an official representative of the United Nations Maritime Organization, and international organizations in the coffee, sugar, and cocoa sectors. He also led the content strategy and operations across various geographies for TripAdvisor and William Hill.
