At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA24) trade show, Artista Cigars will release three new products: the Artista Falu, the HOF by David Ortiz, and the ART-56.
In a press release, Artista Cigars president Ram Rodriguez commented: “We have done a lot of work since PCA 2023; Falu is the next step for our flagship brand, and we are proud of the work we have done with David Ortiz to bring his latest new offering as well.”
The Artista Falu is named for the red barns in Northern Europe and the United States that stand out in contrast to their pastoral surroundings. It is a full-bodied, full-strength cigar blend with a toothy and rich Broadleaf wrapper grown from a generations-old family farm. It has an Indonesian binder and filler blend that balances flavor and strength. Falu starts with hints of hay and aged hardwood and builds to hints of dried cranberries. It finishes with cracked pepper and notes of sweet Dominican rum.
Aritsta Falu will be available in two sizes: a 5 x 54 Robusto and a 6 x 50 Toro. Both are box-pressed and will have a suggested retail price of $10.20 to $10.40 before applicable taxes. The Artista Falu will ship to retailers in April 2024.
Another release is the HOF by David Ortiz. HOF, which stands for “Hall of Fame,” is the latest release within the Ortiz Series and comes after Ortiz’s 2022 induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022.
HOF by David Ortiz will feature a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a sweet Indonesian binder, and filler blend that Artista describes as being “as powerful as Ortiz’s career. This cigar will be offered in two sizes: a 6 x 54 Toro and a limited edition Figurado. For the Figurado, only 541 boxes will be released. The number 541 is important to Ortiz’s career as it is the number of home runs he made during his professional career. Each limited edition box is hand-numbered, and select boxes will be autographed by Ortiz. The toro size of HOF by David Ortiz will come in 20-count boxes, while the limited edition Figurado will be available in 10-count boxes.
The last PCA24 release from Artista Cigars is the Art-56, a value bundle of 10 cigars. This cigar will be available as a 4 3/8. 54 Robusto and a 5 1/2 x 50 Toro. It will be offered with a Maduro, Natural, or Claro wrapper. The Robusto will be offered in bundles of 10 with a suggested retail price of $28; the Toro will have a suggested retail price of $29.
