Black Works Studio will release Paper Crane at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in Las Vegas, March 22-25, 2024. Like other cigars from Black Works Studio, this cigar will be handcrafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Paper Crane is a small batch release that will begin shipping to retailers at the end of March. Made in Nicaragua, this cigar will feature a Connecticut Florado wrapper, an Ecuador Habano binder, and filler tobacco from Nicaragua. It will be presented in two sizes: 5 x 46 Corona and a 6 x 48 Toro. Both sizes will be box-pressed and will come packaged in 20-count boxes.
“The Paper Crane is a project I’ve been thinking about for several years. I’ve always wanted to do something with Connecticut Florado wrapper. I love the flavor profile of this wrapper and of course its unique beautiful golden pink color,” says James Brown, creator of Black Works Studio and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra. “This cigar is extremely complex with a beautiful balance of light citrus notes on the palette, followed by delicate layers of spice on the retrohale and finish. It was these flavors that inspired the name and the artwork I created. Even though there are a lot of subtleties, it is still a full flavor medium strength cigar that lives up to what you expect from a BLK WKS cigar.”
Suggested retail price for Paper Crane will range from $11 to $12. Retailers interested in carrying this cigar can place orders for it at the Oveja Negra Brands booth #14097 during PCA24.
