Drew Estate Ships Liga Privada Unico Year of the Rat 2024

This May, Drew Estate released a new batch of its Year of the Rat cigar in celebration of its rich tradition and deep connection to the story of the Florida Panthers’s 1996 Stanley Cup Finals run. The Year of the Rate cigar commemorates the well-known “Rat Trick” performed by Scott Mellanby, which has become a symbol of good fortune and tenacity both on and off the ice.

In a press release, Drew Estate founder and president Jonathan Drew stated: “The premium cigar industry has a culture of storytelling at the brand and personal level, but it should never override the fundamentals of quality, consistency, and flavor profile.”

Blended in Nicaragua shortly after the release of the Dirty Rat, the Year of the Rat has a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a flavorful Brazilian binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. The Year of the Rat is presented in a 5 1/2 x 46 Corona Gorda size and has a distinct fantail head. Each cigar is wrapped in gold foil and comes packaged in an embossed, blue 10-count Liga Privada Unico box. The suggested retail price per cigar is $20 before applicable taxes.

The Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat is available now at Drew Diplomat Retailers. This cigar will be available in limited numbers but it expected to be in high demand.
