E.P. Carrillo has unveiled its 15 Year Anniversary Cigar to celebrate its 15th anniversary. This cigar features extra-aged tobaccos and is presented in a 6 1/2 x 54 Gran Toro size. This is a limited-edition release, with only 5,000 15-count boxes being released in total. Of that number, 3,500 boxes will go to the U.S. market, while the others will be reserved for international buyers.
“This cigar represents our journey over the last 15 years,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Founder of E.P. Carrillo. “It reflects the challenges we’ve overcome, the progress we’ve made, and the passion we bring to every cigar we create. We wanted to craft something truly special to commemorate this milestone.”
The 15 Year Anniversary Cigar’s blend has eight distinct tobaccos, including a 10-year-aged Mexican San Andrés wrapper that Ernesto Perez-Carrillo selected for its rich texture and oiliness. The blend also has a 15-year-old tobacco leaf from Jalapa, Nicaragua. Criollo 98 Ligero from Estelí and Corojo 99 Ligero from the Dominican Republic’s La Canela region. In addition to these tobaccos, the blend is rounded out with Condega Viso Seco and Viso from Jalapa, Nicaragua, aged between five and seven years.
E.P. Carrillo’s 15 Year Anniversary Cigar was crafted at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic. After a special debut on November 15, 2024, at 8 to 8 Cigars in Villa Park, IL, the cigar will be released to retailers in time for the 2024 holiday season.
