E.P. Carrillo is now shipping INCH Nicaragua No. 70, a cigar that measures 7 x 70, is now shipping to retailers. This cigar is handcrafted at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua and is marketed as being the “quintessential big ring gauge cigar.”
E.P. Carrillo’s INCH line was first launched in 2012 and has since become one of E.P. Carrillo’s best-selling lines. In addition to the recently announced 7 x 70 vitola, INCH Nicaragua is available in three other sizes: No. 60, 5 7/8 x 60; No. 62, 5 x 52; and No. 64, 6 1/8 x 64.
In a press release, E.P. Carrillo’s Ernesto Perez-Carrillo commented: “The amount of tobacco and the quality of tobacco is what makes it so unique. The INCH 70 has always been very much in demand. We decided to make the INCH Nicaragua in a 70 because I think our INCH fans will enjoy them and in many events and social media, were asking for us to do the INCH Nicaragua in this size.”
“Most of the cigar world credits Ernesto Perez-Carrillo with bringing the big ring gauge cigars to the industry,” adds Lissette Perez-Carrillo.
The INCH Nicaragua has a robust and peppery character with a prominent sweetness to it along the lines of caramel that balances out the cigar’s spice notes. This cigar is made with pure 100 percent Nicaraguan tobacco and is rolled and blended for those that love the nuances of Nicaraguan cigars.
