Dr. Gaby Kafie’s time in the premium cigar industry began in 2013 as a collaboration with Tabacalera Puros Aliados. He was mentored by Rolando Reyes Sr., who helped him build and strengthen his skills. Eventually, Kafie established Tabacalera G. Kafie y Cia, a factory that operated from 2016 to 2021 in DanlĂ, Honduras. When that factory closed, Kafie 1901 shifted its cigar production to La Aurora Cigars in the Dominican Republic.
