Kafie 1901 cigars has a new full-line of cigars set to officially release later this month. This new cigar line, called Naked Cigars by Kafie 1901, features tobacco left over from the company’s premium cigar blends being produced at La Aurora Cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.
The tobaccos used in Naked Cigars comes left over long filler tobaccos. This will be the only line of bundled cigars that Kafie 1901 will offer. “These cigars will create a unique category in our portfolio,” the company shared in a press release. Dr. Gaby Kafie, founder of Kafie 1901 cigars, describes Naked Cigars as “great smokes at a tremendous value.”
“In Spanish, we have a saying: ‘que me busquen por bueno y no por barato.’ The English translation goes as follows: ‘That they look for us because we are good, not because we are cheap.’ These cigars are meant to be good, not cheap. When you experience one, you will understand,” he says.
All Naked Cigar blends contain tobaccos that have been aged 4-5 years. There are three unique offerings including a cigar with an Ecuador Connecticut, Habano Natural, and Habano Maduro wrapper. The filler tobacco includes a mixture of Dominican varieties, Mexico, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Honduras, Dominican Andullo, Ecuador Sumatra, Peruvian Pelo de Oro, and Nicaragua varietals. These are full-flavor bundles with what Kafie 1901 refers to as having an “amazing retro-hale experience.”
Naked Cigars by Kafie 1901 will be available in four sizes: Robusto, 5 x 50; Toro, 6 x 52; Churchill, 7 x 47; Gran Toro, 6 x 58. These cigars will be offered 20-count bundles with each cigar having a suggested retail price ranging from $4.30 to $4.50 each.
Naked Cigars were soft launched at select U.S. retailers and overseas in New Zealand. In addition to being made available to retailers at the end of this month, Naked Cigars will be available to order at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in Las Vegas, March 22-25, 2024.
