Guide to Priority Points

Exhibit Booth selection is based on the total number of Priority Points earned. Priority Points are accumulated by sponsoring, advertising, booth square footage, earning qualifying nights through the PCA room block at the host hotel, participating in the trade show for multiple consecutive years, participating in the PCA Product HUB, and making a monetary donation to the PCA.

NOTE: Priority points that accumulate year after year are contingent on the exhibitor participating for consecutive years. If an exhibitor opts to not participate during a given year, all accumulated priority points will be forfeited. Learn more about priority points.

Earning Priority Points for Sponsorship

Each sponsor package listed above includes a certain number of priority points. The particular number of priority points are listed for each corresponding package. When you select any of the packages above, you will accumulate priority points which will be used to determine your booth selection order for the following year.

Earning Priority Points for Advertising

When you advertise with the PCA anytime throughout the year, you earn priority points! For every $25 spent on advertising, you will receive 1 priority point to use towards your booth selection. The PCA currently offers the following advertising opportunities:

•      Tobacco Retailer’s Almanac
•      Trade Show Directory
•      PCA The Magazine (4 issues per year)
 
As a bonus, when you place an ad (of any size) in ALL 3 publications, you will get even more savings + bonus priority points. Advertise in all 3 publications to maximize your brand marketing and receive a 15% discount on your total advertising costs + 30 bonus priority points! You can participate for as little as $1,875 after applied discounts.

Earning Priority Points for Booth Square Footage

Priority points are awarded to exhibitors for the amount of square feet contracted. Exhibitors receive five (5) extra square footage points for every 100 Square Feet of space purchased. The points you earn for your booth one year will be applied to your total points and corresponding booth selection order for the following year.

Earning Priority Points for Earning Qualifying Nights in PCA Room Block

Room Block Points are awarded to exhibitors based on the amount of room nights booked at the Venetian/Palazzo through the PCA Room Block.

Exhibitors receive 1 Room Block point for every 1 night spent per person, per company at the Venetian/Palazzo when booked through the PCA group code. For example: if you have 5 people in your booth and they each book their own hotel room (through the room block) for 5 nights each, this equals 25 nights/25 points. Reservations must be made through the PCA housing link to receive points.

To ensure companies are awarded points for nights actually realized and paid for, room block points will be awarded post-show to go towards the next booth selection year. Points will be calculated based on audited room block reports provided by hotel.

Earning Priority Points for Consecutively Exhibiting

Priority points are awarded to companies based on consecutive years of exhibiting at the trade show. Exhibitors accrue fifteen (15) History points per year. History Points are the only priority points that continue to accumulate over consecutive years (i.e., the more you exhibit, the more points you earn and thereby the greater your chances for choosing your booth before other exhibitors). If a company opts not to exhibit one year, ALL accrued history points will be forfeited.

Earning Priority Points for Participating in the PCA Product HUB

Exhibitors can earn even more priority points through participation in the PCA Product HUB. These points are accumulated based on the amount of product sold and contributed through the HUB. Exhibitors receive 1 priority point for every $25 contributed from their Product HUB offerings.

Earning Priority Points for Making Monetary Donations to the PCA

Additional priority points are awarded to exhibitors for making monetary contributions to the PCA. For every $25 contributed, exhibitors will be awarded 1 additional priority point to be used towards booth selection.
